Search through the Online Image Library : . You may choose three methods to search the database .

1. Search - by Keyword : . 
All images in the online library are tagged with a number of Keywords. Enter your keyword into the search box, and then click on Search. It is important when entering keywords to correctly spell the name or subject you are searching for. If unsure about a particular spelling try the keyword dictionary, if you don't see your word or subject listed, then currently it is unavailable from the online image library. Try a different search, or click on contact our office for more help.
Note: For the best results when searching for individual people, enter their family name first. Example: Charles David

TRY A SEARCH by entering a KEYWORD in the search box below and then click on the SEARCH button.
2. Search - by looking up a word in the Keyword Dictionary : .
Use the keyword dictionary to view an A to Z listing of all the Keywords used in the image library. This method makes it easy for you to browse through the site if you do not know exactly what you are looking for, or alternatively it can be used to identify a particular subject or range of images.

3. Search - by Category : . 
Searching by Category will return a pre-edited range of results. Click on the 'Category Search’ to display the list of categories under which all different types of photograph in the online image library are catalogued. Choose the main Category listings to reveal further subcategories. Selecting a subcategory will return selections of photos relating to specific themes or general subjects and concepts used on the David Charles Photography web site.

Client Area : .
The Client area is a dedicated viewing portal for customers who have commissioned David Charles Photography to create an bespoke image portfolio. Viewing access is only available through a client login. Once a user name and password are entered into the login area, an additional navigation button at the top of each web page called ' My Images ' will appear, plus on the main library page a ' GO ' button will now be visible in the client area box. Click on either of these to view a job reference number or purchase order. Furthermore in this area of the library, clients have the option to view any of their images either full colour or alternatively black and white.
. : Please note:- Whilst logged in, clients can also take full advantage of the main library search and lightbox facilities, however they cannot access another clients images.

Lightbox : .
Commercial image buyers and picture editors may wish to take advantage of the lightbox facility which enables search results to be shortlisted and saved together. To do this first Click on Register at the top of this page and complete the online registration. Once you have created your own user name (your email address) and password; Login and perform a library search. You can name and save several lightboxes each of which can be emailed to the picture desk at David Charles Photography to place an order.

To create a Lightbox
1.Click on register at the top of this page.
2.Enter your details and Click on the box register. **
3.You will then receive an email confirming your registration is accepted.
4.Login to the David Charles Photography web site with your own email address and chosen password.
5.Click on My Lightboxes at the top of the page.
6.Enter a name for your lightbox and click add new.
7.Perform an image library search, and from the results page click on the lightbulb icon to add this image to the lightbox.
8.Click on My Lightboxes at the top of the page to view your saved search results.
9.Delete images not required.
10.Enter an email address to forward your chosen images onto.

** Inclusion for the mailing list on the register page is only applicable to commercial image buyers.

You must buy a licence to use a David Charles Photography image in any media or commercial environment. Buying a licence does not mean you own the image. If you purchase a print it may only be displayed in a private household and is for personal use only. If the need arises, you can in addition to the print cost, purchase a licence to use it for example on a web site; or if you are a model or rider promote your profile. All David Charles Photography images are copyright protected, furthermore not all images are available for general release or use. Contact us for more information.

Site problems ?
Should you experience any navigation difficulties using the David Charles Photography web site, please inform us immediately by email and we will try and suggest a solution. If however there is an error in the spelling of a persons name or malfuncation with the operation of the DCP site please accept our appologies, if it is within our control we will attempt to correct the fault as soon as possible.
