for Location and Studio Photography
Our standard published
rates reflect the business investment made, professional
photographers insurance and using some of the best photography
equipment and lighting currently available.
Location and Studio Photography rates
are charged by the hour, half day and full day rates, with
a mileage charge made for location work together with overnight
accommodation costs if required. Studio hire, models, props,
digital retouching and cut outs are charged as extras. Images
are delivered on disc media or alternatively we can offer
clients a high resolution download option via our FTP server
which is more reliable than email when sending large image
files.
Rates are billed for time on location/studio.
Note that the additional time required following a photo
shoot for downloading images from flash cards, selection,
cropping, digital development which includes colour balancing
and saving to disc media or uploading to our client web portal
is included in the rates. This post production time can be
up to a further 100% of the time spent on location or shooting
in the studio and our rates have to represent the additional
work required to perform these tasks. When we used film this
process was handled by a photo developing lab and then a
repro house to scan in the transparencies, at that time clients
recognized this as an additional cost to complete the work.

Day rates
Discounts on our half day and full day commercial photography
rates are available. They are calculated on size of job,
continuity of work from a client and the deliverables required
by the client (particulars of the brief), plus availability
to complete work based on our current diary commitments.
